SoundSaber™ products have addressed the emergency notification acoustic challenges through an innovative approach to sound reproduction.
SoundSaber products have mitigated the problems previously associated with flat panel magnetic technology and can now provide a light weight, very rugged, high output device for use in mass notification systems. Capable of outputs in excess of 133dB, SoundSaber offers a smooth frequency response from 250Hz to beyond 20kHz. The purely resistive load (no reactance) makes amplifier and circuit design simpler and less expensive.
SoundSaber products are superior to horn devices in clarity (CIS=0.95) and directionality. It achieves its acoustic characteristics with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 1.5% @ 70% power (1 kHz sine wave). The physics of its flat transducers lend themselves to the creation of beams to send the announcement where it is needed. Their subdued vertical beams make installations safer and less expensive.
